History

The pub is named after the Unthank family who owned land throughout the area. The first licensee was Jeremiah Etheridge Watering (11 August 1891) who served for 10 years. The pub originally had a bowling green and stables. Today the pub is owned by Nick and Briony De’Ath who have been there over 20 years.
