History

The pub in Riverside Road is built on the site of a place of execution for heretics and other offenders in the 16th century. Formerly called the Bridge House (because of its proximity to Bishop’s Bridge) its name was changed to Lollards Pit to reflect its grisly history.
CAMRA Members receive a discount of 10% off every pint purchased upon producing a valid CAMRA membership.
