History

First listed in 1854, when it was called the New Inn. The pub was badly damaged by enemy action on 27 April 1942. Became the Fat Cat 12 November 1991 under the ownership of Colin Keatley and has the distinction of having won CAMRA National Pub of the Year twice. The pub sells its own range of beers plus many other favourites and there is much memorabilia on display. Good Pub Guide Beer Pub of the Year 1998, 2003, 2008, 2010, 2013, 2016 & 2017.
